NEWDAY KIDS MINISTRY

NewDay Church is proud to offer a diverse children’s ministry on Sunday mornings at 9am.

NewDay staff, volunteers and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children who love and faithfully follow Jesus Christ. We know that the best foundation will be laid when both Sundays and Wednesdays are attended but totally get that’s not always possible.

Sundays – Revival Kid’s Curriculum

Sunday’s we will sow into a lifestyle of encountering Father God and knowing His heart for us and those around us. We will walk away from this year knowing:

God is in a good mood

Jesus blood paid for everything

They are important

With God, nothing is impossible

Why & how God talks

What is the Bible

Ways to read the Bible

We believe God is doing amazing things in and has greater plans for your children than we can even imagine. We are so excited to come along side to partner with Him and you as the parents/guardians to watch Him display His goodness in them and light up the world around them.

All children will attend worship with the rest of their family. After worship, children will be prayed for and dismissed to each of their rooms. For safety, Sprouts parents should walk their kids to the Sprouts room. Cedars leaders will be at the back of the worship center to lead them back to their rooms.

KING’S KIDS is our Wednesday evening program for kids age 3 (potty trained) through 5th grade and contains four essential parts. These parts combine to create the structure in which a loving relationship with our Father can be built, Biblical learning, and application and memorization can happen. The four parts are:

WORSHIP

It is the 1st commandment! In Mark 12:30 Jesus answered the teacher’s question: What is the most important of all the commandments? Jesus answered him “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind and with all your strength.” Worship is a time for all 4 of these to come together for one focus on God. Whether it is to dance with joy or sing as loud as we can so the walls of Jericho come tumbling down!

TESTIMONY TIME

Then Jesus goes on to say in Mark 12:31 “And here is the second one. ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’” How do we know the good news of Jesus except to share it? Part of Kings Kids will be a time for the kids to share what God has done in their lives each week. By allowing a time to focus on what God has done, it distracts from negative thoughts in the future!

LOVELY LITTLES LESSONS

Lovely Littles (3yr-5yr) will head off to their own room with age appropriate lessons on Biblical foundations along with creative projects and fun! Each week we will go through a different lesson teaching basic Bible stories and principles.

FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS

AND WORSHIP WARRIORS LESSONS

This time will have a large group lesson with all of the K-5th together. Large group time may include skits, videos, games. After large group, the kids will break out into smaller groups of 5-7 kids with the same adult leader each week.

Parental Participation

This ministry cannot happen without volunteers. Active participation by a parent/guardian in this ministry is not only vital to the ministry, but it also greatly impacts your child. It shows them the importance of living out your faith. If you are unable to commit weekly, consider team leading with another adult.

Some areas to volunteer for include:

-Sunday Sprouts room leader
-Sunday Cedars room leader
-Wednesday Lovely Littles Co-Leader
-Wednesday Small Group Leaders

Other ways you can help:

-Assist on your child’s regular attendance in KING’S KIDS and at Sunday morning worship services. King’s Kids is not a replacement for Sunday School. It is meant to enhance their education. In fact, Wednesdays Kings Kids lessons are a more in depth look at what was presented on Sundays! So, attending both Sunday school and King’s Kids will allow for a truly in depth understanding of each week’s lesson.
-Support the ministry with a financial donation. This ministry is an outreach to the community and it requires a financial commitment. Invite others and spread the word!
-Sharing our fun via social media, sharing with your friends and neighbors how excited your kids are to participate, inviting others to services, these are all ways to fulfill Jesus last commandment, the Great Commission.
